Location? Oslo. Hybrid model - 2–3 days in the office, flexibility is key!

WHO ARE YOU?
- You’re an experienced Engineering Manager, passionate about building high-performing teams.
- You have a proven track record of leading teams through change, fostering adaptability and alignment.
- You’re an excellent communicator, adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- You have experience in building and managing native app platform systems or similar developer-facing products.
- You're an advocate for inclusive team culture and are passionate about continuous improvement.
WHAT’S THE JOB LIKE?
As an Engineering manager in the two teams, your main focus will be on:
- Leading two core native app teams: one focused on our native platform and one on horizontal experiences spanning our business verticals (Recommerce, Mobility, Jobs and Real Estate). The teams might vary in size over time but today there are 6 developers in each team.
- Partnering with product managers, aligning technical execution with product vision and balancing business needs with engineering goals.
- Collaborating with tech leads and designers within the native app teams to foster a culture of innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Working with staff and principal engineers to shape the future of our native platform.
- Building, coaching and guiding your team through the implementation of company strategies and changes.
- You and your teams will play a key role in ensuring the other product teams in our company can build their user facing solution using a solid and performant platform for our native apps and enable them to create great experiences across our business areas.
Colleagues
You will be part of the Brand Experience area's operational leadership group, working closely with the Product Director and Engineering Director. You will manage, mentor, and grow a team of developers with various frontend specialities. Close collaboration with designers, product management, staff, and principal engineers is key to success.
In Brand Experience we orchestrate a holistic experience in our beloved brands to make the verticals shine and show the way to seamless experiences across platforms and devices. We build both the frontend platforms that let the teams across our marketplaces build great user experiences, as well as many of the cross vertical user experiences that make up the backbone and identity of our brands. The area is currently made up of around 100 people across product, tech and UX, with about 70 people in tech.
This role involves leading teams through significant changes in priorities, ways of working, and technical choices. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your change management skills and build a resilient, high-performing team.
