OKEA seek to strengthening our team with a dedicated and innovative Subsurface Data and Digital Transformation Manager. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for Subsurface Data Management and leading the transformation of subsurface workflows to leverage advancements in digital technology. You will be responsible for managing an external DM operational team to secure data integrity, quality and accessibility, enabling our teams to leverage data for strategic decision-making. In this newly defined position, you will be able to influence and shape core technical functions in subsurface, as well as the content, interfaces and development of your work and your position.
We are looking for a candidate with technical background in data management with the ambition to take on responsibility to develop data management structure and functions, optimise subsurface application portfolio and further enhance subsurface workflows to leverage advancements in digital technology, including Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.
In OKEA we operate under an asset-centric model where you will work across the organisation to deliver on subsurface processes on all operated and non-operated assets. In this position in OKEA, strong cooperation and engagement across business units is required. To achieve OKEAs ambitions tight aligned with Drilling and Well and ownership of data, structure and processes across the business units are essential.
The position reports to VP Subsurface Projects and BD, and is primarily located in Trondheim. Other OKEA locations, Stavanger, Bergen and Oslo can be considered.

Task and Responsibilities
- Manage the DM team of 4-7 contractors
- Responsible for DM systems, processes and procedures
- Responsible for DM strategies to secure data integrity, quality and accessibility
- Drive the adoption of new technologies to enhance subsurface workflows and business processes
- Contribute to the strategic development of the subsurface workflows, application portfolio, ensuring it aligns with emerging technologies and business needs
Qualifications
- Education at Master level. Relevant experience can compensate for formal education
- in. 3 years of relevant Data Management experience from Oil & Gas industry
- Commercial understanding and solution-driven attitude
- Good communication skills in Norwegian and English, both written and oral
