Operations Manager, Software Engineering

An exciting opportunity has arisen as Operations Manager, Software Engineering, reporting to Automation Software Engineering in our division Global Customer Support in Kongsberg Maritime.

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in overseeing and advancing our software engineering operation towards aftermarket projects. Our department is a key part of the Automation & Control business unit within our Global Customer Support (GCS) division. We specialize in delivering world-class automation and control software for upgrades, retrofits, refits and conversions of vessels and installations across a wide range of sectors, including offshore, energy, LNG, merchant, passenger, and naval industries.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a high-performing team of specialists.
• Oversee and drive seamless end-to-end operation in close collaboration with teams across the organization globally.
• Ensure alignment with organizational strategy, objectives, and goals.

Qualifications and experience

• Broad knowledge of engineering/SW production skill
• Strong leadership and team-building skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• The ability to work with a diverse of individuals
• Strategic thinking with a focus on continuous improvement and cost optimization
• Master's or bachelor's degree within engineering
• Fluent in English, both verbal and in writing

This employment may require security clearance by the Norwegian National Security Authority, clearance through Civil Aviation Authority or a background check.
