Join the Future of Fossil-Free Aviation
Location: Oslo | Start Date: as soon as possible | full time | Experience: 5 years
Are you ready to drive the energy transition in aviation? By converting CO2 and water into synthetic fuels, we at Norsk e-Fuel are pioneering Europe's path to sustainable aviation fuel. It is our goal to industrialize power-to-liquid production and replace fossil oil for the generations to come.
Founded in 2019, our work is supported by a coalition of technology innovators, engineers, and financiers from leading industries. Together, we are creating solutions that bring us closer to a fossil-free world.
We are looking for a dedicated Business Developer to join our commercial team. If you’re passionate about shaping value chains, growing partnerships, and building a new industry for sustainable aviation, we want to hear from you!
What You’ll Do
As a Business Developer, you’ll focus on expanding our value chain, from production to end users. Help us to:
- Design and optimize logistics for renewable aviation fuel, renewable naphtha, and by-products like oxygen and heat, ensuring delivery to blending terminals and end users
- Cultivate relationships with potential offtakers, such as airlines, fuel distributors, and key industry players
- Present and pitch our products, adjusting strategies to market trends and regulatory developments
- Support negotiations of logistics- and offtake agreements with partners and oversee them during execution
- Contribute to product certification strategies to ensure compliance across the supply chain
- Work closely with colleagues on upstream supply chain solutions, including CO2 and other feedstocks
- Monitor market trends, adapt strategies, and identify new opportunities in a first-of-its-kind industry
What We Offer
- Be part of a mission to de-fossilize aviation and tackle climate change
- Work alongside top experts in project development, carbon capture, hydrogen production, and renewable energy
- Enjoy 30 days of vacation (6 weeks)
- Benefit from comprehensive personal and travel insurance, including family coverage
- Take advantage of education and development budgets for professional growth
- Work in modern, collaborative office spaces in Oslo with subsidized lunches
- Enjoy the flexibility of remote work options
- Be part of a culture of trust that values creativity, innovation, and professional growth, where your work will directly shape our strategy and impact the climate
- Being an expert from day one isn’t expected; there is space for development and growth
Your Profile
- A master's degree in business or a technical field is preferred. However, relevant corporate experience can compensate for the absence of a master’s degree.
- Extensive business development experience with a proven ability to drive growth, build value chains, and establish long-term partnerships in the energy, oil, chemical, or refining industries
- Knowledge of logistics, particularly insights into fuel logistics, blending processes, chemical supply chains, and/or certification frameworks is of advantage
- Strong communication skills, including confidence in presenting to stakeholders and supporting contract negotiations; fluency in English is required, and proficiency in a Nordic language is a plus
- Proactive and creative thinking, with the ability to thrive as a self-starter in interdisciplinary environments and a willingness to challenge traditional fossil-based supply chains
- A problem-solving mindset and team spirit
