The Rolls-Royce site in Trondheim consists of one unite team within different competence groups. Our strong relation to each other and drive to explore new designs has resulted in different unique solutions. These solutions are the basis for our growth, a growth that is only made possible by the people who work here. We have several exciting assignments in the years ahead, and to strengthen the team, we are looking for a mechanical design engineer.
About the position: The Mechanical Design and Structural Mechanics team is responsible for all mechanical layout and dimensioning of single components as well as complex assemblies of larger systems. To do this we must collaborate closely with experts in other competency groups. The design details in our products are crucial to ensure safe products for our customers. The team is also involved in build planning and work related to verification of our digital models through prototyping and physical testing of sub-systems.
We are looking for a highly skilled person who has practical experience with electric machines combined with higher education. We encourage you to apply even if not all the qualifications are met.
Qualifications:
· M.Sc. in mechanical or structural engineering
· Experience with design of electric machines or other rotative machines. Experience with design of power electronics assemblies is also appreciated
· Modelling skills using NX or similar CAD tool
· Experience with prototyping
· Good at documenting
