Meet the team 👥  

As a Physicist in OneSubsea you will be involved in all phases of our business from sales to research, design, development, testing, and product delivery as well as after-sales support. In this role you will be a part of a highly skilled physicist group and collaborate across disciplines and departments. You will play a key part in ensuring our technology performs at its best in real-world applications.

As a Physicist in OneSubsea, you will 🧠 

• Drive Innovation & Shape Technology: Lead the development of groundbreaking technology through experimental testing, data analysis, model development and implementation of technology in new or existing products. 
• Be Our Go-To Expert: Provide technical support to sales, engineering, manufacturing, and operations to drive success. 
• Share Knowledge: Provide training and guidance to both internal teams and external partners, spreading expertise and fostering growth. 
• Prioritize Safety and Quality: Ensure HSE standards and maintain top-tier quality in all operations. 
• Uphold Ethical Integrity: Always act with integrity, aligning with company values and ethical standards. 

Who we are looking for 🔍  

• PhD degree in Physics 

(Professional experience can compensate for education) 

• Relevant work experience 
• Expertise in MATLAB or Python 
• A strong analytical thinker with a deep understanding of data analysis, signal processing, mathematical modeling, and uncertainty analysis 
• A problem solver, capable of applying creative and innovative solutions to tackle complex challenges 
• Fluent in English and preferably Norwegian 

You need to be an expert in one or more of these fields ✅ 

• Ultrasonic/acoustic measurements 
• Multiphase flow and fluid dynamics  
• Flow measurement and flow modelling 
• Nuclear physics applied to gamma densitometry 
• Microwave sensors and modelling  
• Fluid properties, flow assurance, or PVT models 
• Optical/infrared measurements 

We are currently launching a new product line for Subsea Ultrasonic Flow Meters and are especially interested in candidates with a background in ultrasonics.
