Do you want to drive STAR´s commercial success as their new CCO?
STAR is seeking a proactive and experienced CCO who can combine strategic leadership with operational execution. We are an innovative SaaS company with a strong position in the maritime and offshore industries. As CCO, you will play a key role in further developing the company’s global growth strategy, while personally engaging with key customers and leading sales processes in close collaboration with a dedicated team.
In this role, you will have overall responsibility for the company’s sales and marketing strategy and lead its commercial efforts. Operating in a global and highly professional context, the company’s size offers you the opportunity to directly influence its development through your strategic decisions and active participation in critical sales processes and customer activities. You will lead a sales team of seven employees. The position reports to the CEO, and the office location is in Trondheim or Oslo.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement a global commercial strategy to drive growth and strengthen the company’s market position.
• Lead and further develop a small, highly skilled sales and marketing team, fostering a performance-driven culture.
• Work closely with the product and development teams to ensure solutions are productized and commercialized in line with customer needs and market trends.
• Identify new market opportunities and ensure the company capitalizes on potential in existing and new segments.
• Build strong relationships with strategically important customers and partners.
• Lead key sales processes and play a central role in negotiations and customer meetings.
• Provide the organization with high-quality marketing materials and foster a sales-oriented culture, ensuring that every interaction across the company reflects a strong customer focus.
We have high expectations and hope that you have:
• Experience in sales/sales leadership, tender processes, and contract negotiations within subscription-based business models (SaaS), with proven results.
• Experience working in an international and multicultural environment.
• A track record of selling and marketing to international markets and scaling businesses.
• Experience in software sales within similar industries is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills in both Norwegian and English.
• Relevant higher education in economics, technology, or management.
You are strategically minded yet thrive on being actively involved in operations. You genuinely care about people and excel at building strong, lasting relationships, inspiring others, and leading teams to success. Experience with inorganic growth and an understanding of both technological and human integration processes is a significant advantage.
