ICT Operations Lead

ORLEN Upstream Norway AS is an oil and gas company that is growing and we are searching for an ICT Operations Lead.
In this role you will monitor and develop the company’s ICT Operations in an increasingly more complex IT infrastructure. You will solve ICT related problems and suggest continuous improvements. Duties and responsibilities

Accountabilities

• Ensure well-functioning and effective ICT solutions
• Gather information on ICT business trends and together with the ICT Manager decide on potential changes of the environment
• Responsible for ICT operations and support to the company

Main tasks

• Install and configure software and hardware
• Manage cloud solutions, network servers and technology tools
• Set up accounts and workstations
• Monitor system performance and maintain according to requirements
• Troubleshoot hardware and/or software issues and outages
• Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
• Upgrade systems with new releases and models
• Provide feedback on commonly encountered problems to enhance user documentation and/or training programs
• Provide ICT support in connection with Service Level Agreement projects with the ORLEN Group to ensure its quality and efficiency
• Perform other relevant tasks assigned to the role

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in relevant discipline
• 10+ years’ experience from ICT position
• Extensive experience with ICT systems, networks and related technologies
• Fluency in English (oral and written)

Relevant experience can compensate for lack of formal education.

• Excellent IT literacy
• Good understanding of local oil and gas market trends
• Good communication skills
• Good sense for details and quality

• Proficient with Microsoft Office
