Sir James Paul McCartney CH MBE (fdt 18. juni 1942 i Liverpool, England) er en britisk sanger, komponist/ltskriver og multiinstrumentalist som er mest kjent for vre medlem av The Beatles. Han er ogs en publisert poet, maler, filantrop, dyrerettighetsaktivist og multimedieutver/produsent. Sir Paul McCartney har blitt anerkjent av alle musikk- og underholdningsforeninger, inkludert Guinness Book, som den mest suksessrike og populre komponisten/ltskriveren/underholderen i populrmusikkens historie.
Etter at Beatles ble opplst, debuterte han som soloartist med albumet McCartney fra 1970 og dannet bandet Wings (2) med sin frste kone, Linda, og Denny Laine. Han gjenopptok solokarrieren etter at Wings brt sammen i april 1981.
McCartney ble utnevnt til medlem av Order of the British Empire i 1965, og i 1997 ble McCartney sltt til ridder for tjenester til musikk.
Han ble innlemmet i Rock and Roll Hall of Fame i 1988 som medlem av Beatles og igjen som soloartist i 1999. 9. februar 2012 ble han hedret med den 2.460. stjernen p Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Enkemann etter Linda McCartney. Stefar til Heather McCartney (Linda Eastmans datter fra hennes frste ekteskap som han senere adopterte) og biologisk far til Mary McCartney, Stella McCartney, James McCartney. I juli 2002 giftet han seg med Heather Mills som de fikk en datter med i 2003, Beatrice Milly. De skilte seg i april 2006. 9. oktober 2011 giftet han seg med Nancy Shevell. Ringo Starr er pseudonymet til Sir Richard Starkey, MBE (fdt 7. juli 1940 i Liverpool, England, Storbritannia), en britisk musiker, sanger, ltskriver og en og annen skuespiller.
Han var trommeslager for Rory Storm & The Hurricanes da han ble invitert til erstatte Pete Best som trommeslager for The Beatles i august 1962; han ble med bandet til de gikk fra hverandre i april 1970. I 1975 grunnla han plateselskapet Ring O'Records. Siden 1989 har Ringo turnert og spilt inn live-album med Ringo Starr And His All-Starr Band.
Mottaker av ni Grammy Awards. I 1988 ble han hentet inn i Rock and Roll Hall of Fame som medlem av The Beatles og igjen i 2005 som soloartist. 8. februar 2010 ble han hedret med den 2.401. stjernen p Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Far til Zak Starkey, Jason Starkey (2) og Lee Starkey (fra hans frste ekteskap). 27. april 1981 giftet han seg med skuespillerinnen Barbara Bach. Bestefar til Tatia Starkey.
