We are now looking for a dynamic and results-driven Category Manager to lead and optimize our onboard retail portfolio, including pre-order meals. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are eager to shape the inflight retail experience, this role is for you!

In this role you will be responsible for:
- Strategic Category Management:
- Lead the development and execution of the inflight retail and pre-order meal strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and customer expectations.
- Assortment Optimization:
- Collaborate with our retail services partner to curate an onboard assortment that drives revenue growth and enhances the passenger experience.
- Revenue & Profit Maximization:
- Continuously optimize the inflight retail product range to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Operational Excellence:
- Develop, implement, and update operational procedures in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Contribution to Sales Tactics Development:
- Contribute to development of innovative sales strategies in collaboration with internal team members and partners to drive onboard purchases.
- New Product Development & Pricing:
- In collaboration with retail partner and internal teams, develop and launch new products, leveraging data-driven insights for pricing strategies.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Foster effective communication and cooperation with internal stakeholders, including cabin crew, Marketing, Product & Customer Experience, Revenue and other teams, and ensure seamless execution of initiatives.
- Trend Analysis & Innovation:
- Monitor industry trends and customer preferences, integrating insights into category planning and product development to stay ahead of the competition.
- Sustainability Leadership:
- Drive the implementation of sustainability initiatives within the inflight retail portfolio, working closely with suppliers and partners to meet corporate sustainability objectives.
You are our ideal candidate if you have:
- Minimum 5 years of experience from similar positions in category management, preferably in the retail, FMCG, airline or hospitality industries.
- Strong analytical skills with a track record of using data to drive decision-making.
- Good communicator across different areas with the ability to influence decisions.
- Proactive with the ability to pursue own initiatives and introduce new ideas.
- Creative and customer-focused mindset with the ability to anticipate market trends.
- Hands-on approach to collaborate directly with cabin crew.
- Self-driven with positive attitude and interest in the aviation sector.
- Structured and able to prioritize due to time pressure.
- University degree in business administration, marketing or related field.
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
- Excellent PowerPoint skills with the ability to communicate set targets and performance to various audiences.
- Knowledge of food safety and regulatory compliance is a plus.
