We are currently seeking experienced Operations Managers to oversee the day-to-day operations of our offshore shipping fleet. The role as Operations Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring safe, efficient and compliant vessel operations while meeting project timelines and budgets. As Operations Manager you will cooperate and interact with nominated ship managers, both internal and external. Further, you will also be heavily involved with clients and chartering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage dedicated vessels by managing the onshore support teams
- Work closely with and support our chartering department
- Responsible for delivering marine offshore operations to our clients
- Ensuring that company policies, standards and guidelines are developed, implemented and practiced
- Superior responsibility for safe and efficient operations of the dedicated vessels by managing the external service providers
- Supporting and monitoring the implementation, performance and effectiveness of the Safety Management System
- Follow up on strategy, values, goals/KPI´s and action plan in order to manage the superior responsibility assigned to the role.
- Promoting the company internally and externally
- Adhere to the company´s HSEQ related activities in order to achieve the goals set and directed by policy and core values.
- Responsible for initiation Management of Change procedures as and when required
- Responsible for establishing and managing bridging documents with external service providers, clients etc.
- Responsible for active participation and approval of any and all investigations involving Subsea vessels managed by the company.
- Participate in the Emergency Organization as described in the Safety Management System
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in maritime operations, naval architecture or related field. Experience as deck or engine officer may make up for this specific requirement
- 5+ years of experience in offshore vessel operations is preferrable
- Deck officer or engine officer experience preferrable
- Strong leadership skills with ability to manage cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Solid understanding of maritime regulations, including IMO, flag state, class society, etc.
- Experience with vessel management software/systems
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed
- 40-hours HSE course is beneficial
