Why you shouldn't use pressures above 8 bar in piston compressors.
10 bar / 12.5 bar or more is a DEFECT and problems, not an advantage!!!
Firstly.
The vast majority of paint guns need a maximum working pressure of 1.5 to 3.5 bar. Exceeding this pressure in such a gun can damage it.
Impact wrenches for servicing e.g. passenger cars or BUSes up to 3.5 tons. It has a maximum working pressure!!! 6.3 Bar. Exceeding this pressure in such a wrench can damage it.
The same applies to compressor-powered tools such as:
- grinders
- pneumatic lifters,
and any other pneumatic devices used in workshops. Check the technical data of the device you want to buy for yourself!
In a word, the working pressure is 8 bar. It more than meets the needs of 99% of devices in a company and home workshop.
Secondly.
Air temperature in the cylinder.
Compressing air, for example, to 10 or extremely!!! strongly 12.5 bar, very strongly increases the temperature of the air in the tank. This is a serious defect!
In our compressors, thanks to the use of high-quality materials, the average temperature of the air compressed in the cylinder is on average below 37*C.
If we have such a temperature when compressing air to 8 bar, how much higher is it when we compress the air in the tank to an even higher temperature???
Our research, which we have conducted, shows that:
When compressing air to 12.5 bar. The air temperature, very often, exceeds 80*C!!!
In the warranty records of guns, keys and other devices mentioned above. Most often there is a provision prohibiting the supply of air at a temperature exceeding 60*C
Above this temperature, the devices used are subject to mechanical damage, including seals. Damage caused in this way is not covered by the warranty. Such equipment is only suitable for throwing away.
Thirdly.
At such a high temperature in the tank, the heated air does not have time to cool down and all the water vapor contained in the air goes to the spray gun, wrench or other devices. Destroying them corrosive. In the case of, for example, painting, paint defects appear.
In our tanks, the air at a lower temperature, the difference is almost 100% - dehydrates. In the form of condensate in the tank. Thanks to this, we get incomparably better air for use with tools. Practically devoid of water vapor, water.
Fourthly.
The head of the air pump at a pressure of 12.5 bar is so hot that you can get burned.
The pumps are greatly overheated and have a shorter service life. The oil works at enormous temperatures very quickly losing its properties. The pumps are forced to work at the limit of their strength. Their durability is usually very short.
Therefore, in piston compressors, pressures above 8 bar should not be used.
10 bar, 12.5 bar or more is a disadvantage, not an advantage!!!
