Today’s evolution toward bigger park jumps means more speed to execute them safely, and progressive riders naturally want more confidence from their snowboard. The Outsiders series features a revolutionary camber configuration that gives you a traditional camber board designed in a way that makes progression more attainable.

Through a small zero-camber section integrated with specific sidecut blend zones near the tip and tail, you can enjoy the pop and power of traditional camber with unmatched stability at high speeds. Featuring all new upgrades like an FSC Certified P2 Superlight Core, two 30 mm Technora + Flax Boosters and the smooth glide provided by a new Quantum Drive sintered base, The Outsiders maximizes the speed and power possible from a lightweight and energetic board.

Park V1 Profile:

The Park V1 camber configuration zeros out a traditional camber approach 4 cm before the end of the sidecut. The small zero camber sections provide a more controlled ride while retaining the response and power of a cambered board.

Core:

P2 Superlight Core
The P2 Superlight Core is one of the lightest cores that can withstand high impacts and has maximum pop. The pop ensures enough air time in the park and fast manoeuvrability. The core also adds stability, allowing it to perform well in different types of snow. The core is made up of a mix of poplar and Paulownia. Made for diversity on the entire mountain.

Technora + Flax Boosters:

With an excellent tensile strength and fatigue resistance, Technora is an aramid fiber that functions as a shock absorber and energy source when integrated into a snowboard construction layup. We have interwoven Technora with an extremely lightweight and all natural Flax fiber to invigorate every construction combination with maximum turning and ollie power.

Magic Bean Resin:

Developed over a three-year span, this all new resin system has a bio-content of 60% renewable, agricultural raw materials. It is plant based that does not compete with primary food sources and is produced with no waste or greenhouse emissions. In production, it has a low-temperature requirement with a high yield output. This resin system is poppy, powerful, and extremely durable. Magic bean resin yields much stronger and more rigid qualities allowing us to decrease the wood core thickness. Our focus is to save wood core weight by increasing resin performance. This means you get a lighter board while achieving higher energy return.

PLT Topsheet Technology:

The PLT machine sits in a secret hidden corner of the factory behind two very unassuming, nondescript metal doors. The PLT is so secretive that with the exception of its inventor, Mr. Michi Kollmann, all visitors to the room must be versed in an ever-changing secret handshake. PLT technology is exclusive to CAPiTA MFG and magically bonds the topsheet to an already pressed snowboard. This is magical because the rest of the world mashes their topsheets on with glue, heat and pressure during the pressing stage. Doing so causes the fiberglass structure underneath to show through the topsheet. And because nobody wants to spend their hard earned cash on a bumpy snowboard, many companies slather their tops with a thick toxic lacquer to smooththings out. Not only is that material HEAVY and can potentially develop unsightly hairline cracks, it’s also really unhealthy for the working environment. The PLT machine produces a featherlight, smooth, high-gloss finish, without all that poisonous deadweight.

Holysheet Fiberglass:

The all new holysheet fiberglass configuration features new fiber weaves with a high tensile strength and low modulus of elasticity. With a higher roving count in the same weight of glass, you can have a stronger and more responsive board without adding extra weight. Triaxial fiberglass is placed on top of the core and biaxial fiberglass beneath, creating a perfectly blended ride while increasing strength and durability. Combine this layup with the magic bean resin and one of the many additives we have available, and you get a high performing board tailored to meet your style of riding.

Quantum Drive Base

The Quantum Drive running base is formulated with a new blend of compressed ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene. As an evolution from the already blazing fast Ultradrive from 2018, this new running base for 2021 and beyond features higher density for durability and absorbs more wax to wick longer and ride faster. Properly maintained sintered bases are fast, durable, and are the preferred choice of many high-end enthusiasts worldwide.
