At Amundsen Brewery, we are currently looking for our new teammate. Someone who is passionate about beer, knows the importance of attention to detail, well-organised and comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment. To be successful in this role you must show a passion and commitment to quality across all levels of production at the same time as you uphold safety standards. You have a minimum of 3 years experience as a brewer working in a medium to large scale operation and open to shift work.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Brewing from start to finish of wort production.
- Be flexible for brewing shift work.
- Maintain a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure daily documentation is recorded accurately and completely.
- Address and correct any issues, reporting to management with any major issues or delays.
- Cellar tasks including dry-hopping, centrifuging, transfers, tank cleans etc.
- Cleaning & sterilising vessels, production areas.
- Assist the Brew team in delivering on our Quality Program.
- Maintain a high standard of data logging and record keeping.
- Working to a brewery schedule to ensure that the beer can be released in line with the business needs.
- Ensure the cleanliness, efficiency, and functionality of brewery equipment.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety.
- Ensure to work in a way which minimises wastage and excess cost without compromising product quality.
- Promote a fun workplace culture of education, safety, creativity & collaboration.
- Research improvements in equipment, processes, packing materials, etc and keep up to date on relevant changes to legislation.
- Feed relevant information back to management and take ownership for improvements that will make our beer & beer experiences better.
- Attend and contribute to team meetings when required and share best practice with colleagues.
- It is expected that you will represent Amundsen at beer tastings, tap takeover events as well as beer festivals both locally and internationally. (These events and festivals are mostly during evenings and weekends).
ABOUT YOU:
- At least 3 years brewing experience in a commercial brewery.
- Experience working in a commercial brewery, capable of hitting the ground running.
- A relevant qualification in brewing preferable.
- Additional experience in the production of soft drinks, RTD´s and other drinks is preferential.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Forklift certification preferable.
- Team player essential.
- Ability to strictly adhere to established recipes, processes, and SOPs
- Strong ability to multitask, troubleshoot, problem solve and execute plans of action.
- Responsible for documentation of brewing activities and logs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and growing environment.
- Ability to work both independently and with the management and brew team.
- Comfortable with shift work.

Amundsen consists of a tight-knit, international team of eight employees, and our working language is English. Applicants must be eligible to live and work in Norway and be fluent in English. This position in itself does not qualify for a skilled worker visa.
