Senior Process Engineer | Golar LNG

We’re seeking a Senior Process Engineer to play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our FLNG topsides and process systems. The position will be part of the FLNG Technical Support Team within FLNG Operations, handling all engineering needs towards our Assets. The position is based in Oslo, Norway, but requires a willingness to travel since our sites and FLNG’s are located around the globe.

Key Responsibilities:

As Senior Process Engineer, you will:

• Oversee production: Follow the daily production and ensure robust control of all production upsets for appropriate deferral management with close contact with our FLNG offshore operations team and client.
• Optimize Performance: Monitor daily process activities and production to enhance overall efficiency.
• Review and develop procedures and protocols: Ensure operating procedures and manuals and protocols are kept up to date and relevant for operations, and assist in developing new as needed.
• Equipment Oversight: Assess and monitor the operation and condition of process equipment, ensuring reliability and compliance.
• Operational Planning: Contribute to day-to-day production planning and the coordination of Turnaround (TAR) and maintenance activities.
• Expert Support: Provide technical expertise with the FLNG asset teams and offshore staff.
• Competency Development: Evaluate staffing requirements, onboard competencies, and oversee training programs for offshore personnel.
• Onsite Audits: Conduct regular offshore visits to review operations, ensure adherence to specifications, and identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaboration: Interface with the Head of Technical Support, Asset Managers, and offshore Liquefaction teams for seamless operations.
• Compliance & Innovation: Stay updated on the latest process technologies and regulations, recommending upgrades and adjustments as needed.
• Budget Oversight: Assist in cost control, budget preparation, and resource allocation.

Your Profile:

We are looking for a candidate who:

• Holds a degree in Chemical or Process Engineering or a related discipline.
• Has experience in LNG or oil and gas process engineering.
• Demonstrates a solid understanding of topside systems, process equipment, and regulatory requirements.
• Possesses strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Understand the commercial sensitivity of good production management.
• Understand and manage contractual requirements related to production management with external parties like client and project stakeholders.
• Thrives in a dynamic environment with a proactive and hands-on approach
