Senior Data Engineer

We're looking for a talented and enthusiastic data engineer for our AI and Emerging data consulting team.

From GPTs and LLMs to smart grids and predicitive maintenance - we help our clients in the energy sector see the exciting opportunities within AI. Your role will be to help them build the pipelines and infrastructure that make their ambitions possible.

As a Data Engineer you'll spend time your working with our clients to solve their data challenges and enable them to harness the full value of emerging data technologies. Our AI and Emerging Data consultants team is made up of experienced data engineers and scientists, delivering end-to-end pipelines and enabling data-driven solutions.

Now we're looking for senior Data Engineers that are ready to push themselves, us and our customers further.

As a Data Engineer at Cegal, you will:

• Work closely with our customers in all phases to understand their needs, challenges, and opportunities

• Design, implement, test and maintain scalable data pipelines and platforms

• Become a trusted advisor and work with the development of solutions that create real customer value

• Collaborate in interdisciplinary teams to find the best solutions for our customer

• Join and contribute to a leading data engineering environment in Norway

Who you are?
Do you love problem-solving, exploring new technologies and sharing knowledge in a community of like-minded tech enthusiast (some might call us geeks). If so, you'll fit right in. • Technical Expertise: Broad knowledge of data tools and technologies (e.g., Python, SQL, PySpark, data storage and processing frameworks, APIs and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP)

• Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in data engineering or related field, ideally within a consultancy or enterprise environment.

• Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to a varied audiences. Norwegian fluency is an advantage.

• Education: MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a similar field.
