Aker Solutions is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Operational Technology (OT) Security to lead and develop the digital security of our industrial operations. You will play a key role in safeguarding critical infrastructure and ensuring that our operational environments remain resilient against evolving threats.

The head of OT security will be responsible for defining and implementing the OT strategy, lead our efforts in securing critical operational technology systems, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal policies. You will work closely with competent OT-communities across the organization, as well as the IT and security organization.

Responsibility

• Develop and implement the OT security strategy in alignment with Aker Solutions' overall cyber security objectives and digital journey.
• Work closely with CISO, local OT engineers and asset owners to ensure seamless integration of security practices across both IT and OT domains and continuously improve the OT security posture.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks within OT environments, ensuring alignment with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and company standards.
• Ensure OT security compliance with relevant regulations, including NIST, IEC 62443, ISO 27001, and others. Establish and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines specific to OT systems.
• Stay ahead of emerging threats and vulnerabilities in the OT space. Drive the implementation of cutting-edge security technologies and frameworks to protect our critical infrastructure.
• Manage relationships with external security vendors, consultants, and third-party providers to ensure alignment with our OT security objectives.
• Lead and oversee the entire OT landscape—including system architecture and operational efficiency—ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, addressing existing gaps, and establishing a streamlined and robust OT environment.

What will you be doing?

• Develop and execute the OT security strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and manage a network of OT and security specialist across the company, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Oversee the assessment, mitigation, and management of OT security risks across all facilities and operations.
• Collaborate closely with IT, engineering, and operations teams to implement security solutions that protect critical assets without disrupting operations.
• Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices in OT security, ensuring continuous improvement and resilience in our security posture.

We think you should have:

• A passion for driving security initiatives in complex operational environments.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations, such as IEC 62443, NERC CIP, and others related to OT security.
• Experience in incident response, risk management, and securing large-scale industrial operations.
• Experience in industrial control systems (ICS), SCADA, PLCs, IoT devices, and other OT systems, protocols, and technologies.
• Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment
• Proficiency in both Norwegian and English, with the ability to communicate complex issues effectively to all levels of employees
