Product Compliance Advisor

Objectives of this role 

• Monitor current policies and systems to ensure compliance with global legal and regulatory laws affecting product sales and distribution. 
• Train employees in relevant laws and regulations to eliminate ambiguity in compliance and reduce risk. 
• Stay updated with evolving compliance and regulatory laws by learning, unlearning, and relearning. 
• Develop and maintain control systems to identify and address rule violations. 

Responsibilities 

• Ensure Kongsberg Discovery's products comply with regulations and legal requirements. 
• Keep track of certifications and requirements for different countries (e.g., RoHS, REACH). 
• Provide training on compliance laws for employees. 
• Identify and address gaps in compliance processes. 
• Be the main contact for product management on compliance issues and work with R&D and delivery teams on customer-funded projects. 

Skills and qualifications 

• Bachelors or masters degree in engineering
• Prior experience working as a compliance expert or in a similar position. 
• Proficiency in industry trends, laws, and regulations. 
• Outstanding analytical skills and problem-solving abilities. 
• You have very strong knowledge of the English language and are an expert in interpreting legal texts.
