Are You Our New Head of Program and Grant Management?
Mission Alliance is seeking an experienced team leader to manage and develop our international program portfolio. This unique opportunity allows you to apply your expertise in development aid, high-quality programming, donor compliance, and team building within a dynamic and forward-looking organization.
As Head of program and grants management, you will lead a team of highly qualified advisors in providing advice and support to our country offices within our global strategy, program policy and internal program standards.
Mission Alliance’s ambitious new strategy, "Together for Higher Impact!" (2024-2028), focuses on improving program quality and boosting capacity. We are committed to enhancing our program quality and expanding our international portfolio through securing new institutional funding. You will guide the direction of program quality and standards to ensure the delivery of high-impact programs and growth objectives across our country offices, partner organizations, and various donors.

Mission Alliance is a Christian organization working with communities and local partners to empower people to shape their own future. We contribute to economic inclusion, safeguarding, and strengthening of civil society in nine countries across Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Our program portfolio amounts to over 80 million NOK per year, with approximately half of this funding provided by Norad through Digni. We are actively seeking other institutional funding sources.
In this position, you will lead a team within the International Department and report to the International Director. You will work closely with the Finance department, the Institutional Partnerships Advisor and staff at the country offices.
In this position, you will:
- Be responsible for facilitating and ensuring high quality and efficient outcomes in Mission Alliance’s global program portfolio.
- Lead a team of highly qualified advisors.
- Ensure necessary systems, guidelines, and capacity building of country office to promote and ensure program quality.
- Ensure compliance to donor guidelines, requirements, and deadlines.
- Serve as the main contact person to Digni and ensure deliverables to Digni/Norad.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to country offices in program management and compliance.
- Stay updated on trends and standards within international development cooperation.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Minimum of master’s degree and 5 years of experience from development cooperation.
- Experience from program management, global portfolio management and ensuring organisational systems.
- In-depth experience with donor compliance and understanding of Norad, EU and other institutional donor`s.
- Knowledge of Mission Alliance’s thematic focus areas: Economic Inclusion, Safeguarding and Strong civil society.
- Proven experience in leading teams, fostering collaboration, and motivating colleagues toward common goals.
- Strong pedagogical and inter-cultural skills. Preferably experience from working in the global south.
- Proficiency in Norwegian and English is required. Knowledge of and Spanish is an advantage.
