Join Our Team as a Support Services Engineer
At NORBIT Oceans Solutions, we’re on a mission to deliver cutting-edge solutions in maritime security, environmental monitoring, and vehicle sensor supply. As our Support Services Engineer, you’ll play a key role in supporting our global clients and participate actively in the development of GuardPoint™, SECurus™, SeaCOP™, and SeaDarQ™ family products.
What You'll Do
In this role, you will assist the daily operations of NORBIT Oceans Solutions business segment- taking direct responsibility for assigned project-based client deliverables and act as the liaison between internal and external stakeholders. The position holder will have to ensure effective client operational and technical needs whilst upholding NORBIT’s core values.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical support for NORBIT’s product range across global markets.
- Collaborating on Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and ensuring smooth project deliveries.
- Traveling (nationally and internationally) to service our systems and foster strong client relationships.
- Creating and maintaining project documentation for internal and external use.
- Performing product testing and providing internal feedback to support research and development.
- Supporting long-term client projects, including Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Reacting to all enquiries received by NORBIT in a timely manner, also being included in a shift-based on call duty rotation
- Provide feedback on product performance, marketing material and expected future product and service requirements.
You’ll also become part of our global support structure, working with talented colleagues and managing requests and tickets through our JIRA support system.
What We’re Looking For
We’re searching for a professional who brings:
- 5+ years of experience in marine equipment manufacturing, particularly sonar systems.
- Strong skills in project management, applications, and engineering support.
- Confidence to represent NORBIT at technical events and client meetings.
- Proficiency in CAD software (Solidworks/AutoCad/Inventor/Fusion360) and industry standards for marine systems.
- Strong command of technical English, both written and spoken.
- A customer-first approach, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and to work across cultures.
- Creativity, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.

Location & Travel
This role is based at our Trondheim office (Stiklestadveien 1), with some travel to client locations, conferences, and other exciting destinations – both nationally and internationally.
