Fabrication Manager – Steel semi-submersible floaters

Contract period: asap - 31.12.2025

Location: Oslo

Main Tasks:

• Overall responsibility for following-up the fabrication of the GV semisubmersible floaters.
• Manage/ follow-up the semi-submersible floater fabrication contractor, from development to execution, including fab engineering, fabrication, logistics, assembly, and hand-over to operation, ensuring that the floaters is delivered in respect of safety, time, cost, and quality requirements.
• Handle the floater fabrication scope, including supplier, transport, and assembly, ensuring integration and management of interfaces.
• Be responsible for safety, time, cost, and quality, ensuring due diligence on emerging risks. Drive stakeholder alignment through engagement and clear communication
• Manage a project team of direct and indirect reports, including fabrication leads, installation leads , QHSE leads, contract leads, specialists, etc.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural
• Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• Project management training with PMI, IAPM or similar approved bodies. Certification is a plus
• Written and spoken English. Additional European languages are a plus
• 10 + years required experience
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Proven experience in project management within the O&G and/or offshore wind industry, fav with a focus on floater fabrication.
• In-depth understanding of fabrication challenges in APAC.
• Have demonstrated ability to manage project interfaces.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team and have experience leading a multicultural and multidisciplinary team.
• Proactive, with excellent problem solving skills. 
• Adaptable, skilled in managing change.
• Experience with FIDIC contracts or similar.
• Experience in QHSE and risk management.
