Responsibilities:
- Be the focal point for the legal entities’ financials towards reporting colleagues, controllers, and external service providers. Mainly on statutory bookkeeping, payroll, tax-related matters, etc.
- End-to-end accounting of the legal entities, quality control of accounting both manual and automated through reconciliation.
- Shape the optimization of (administrative) processes through further standardization, automation, and centralization for group reporting and statutory accounting management aspects.
- Responsible for the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing-related tasks, in line with the Group’s standard and local principles. Coordinate with business, finance BP, and system consultants, responsible for providing accounting configuration for business lines, completing online voucher testing, and updating subsequent accounting configurations.
- Perform overall checks on financial reports, and if discrepancies or areas requiring adjustments are identified, be able to make necessary adjustments directly within the financial reporting system.
- Work with IT in the functional management of the various applications and the changes and adjustments to be made that enrich the work.
- Proactively manage and monitor transaction posting, and reconciliation performance to drive accuracy and timeliness of all deliverables
- Maintain strong controls ensuring all group policies and statutory requirements are complied with.
- Support a culture of continuous improvement that ensures process flows and standard operating procedures are both kept current and reviewed by all staff and stakeholders.
- Main contact person for cross-functional projects, BS review support and follow-up, as well as digital archive supervision.
- Various adhoc tasks that come up that need additional support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in accountancy.
- At least 5 years of accounting work experience, including more than 3 years of general ledger experience. Those with work experience in manufacturing, automotive, and tech industry are preferred
- Solid knowledge and experience in managing EU accounting applications and statutory compliances.
- Norway NGAAP end-to-end accounting experience is a must, experience in US GAAP or IFRS is a plus
- SAP experience is a must, SAP technical background knowledge is a plus
- A great communicator who can build strong working relationships with external advisors and internal stakeholders.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Norwegian.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure.
- Results-oriented with excellent planning, prioritizing, and organizational skills.
