We are recruiting a Critical Facilities Technician to our team.
STACK is pleased to be hiring a Critical Facilities Technician to our Holtskogen Site. As part of the local Critical Facilities Team, our technicians are to ensure that the data center is being operated smoothly and efficiently 24/7/365, to prevent downtime on our critical services.
As a technician you need to be a solution oriented and problem-solving person with a can-do attitude. Being able to multitask, working independently yet being a team-player, are crucial skills to succeed. The right candidate is one who embraces diversity in a multicultural working environment, demonstrate analytical skills as well as paying attention to details, and who actively takes part in the service team and the enthusiastic working environment.
Responsibilities & Tasks
- Responsible for inspection, operation and maintenance of all equipment associated with the datacenter
- Perform operational and preventative maintenance tasks on all Mechanical & Electrical equipment as assigned
- Perform regular, documented inspections on defined critical equipment, rooms, and systems
- Monitor and act on alarms from operational monitoring systems (BMS, PMS, etc.)
- Be the first response whenever an incident occurs and escalate according to established processes and procedures
- Carry out isolations and re-instatement of Electrical, Cooling, Fire Alarms and Gas Suppression systems when required
- Ensure all plant equipment operates in its most efficient condition
- Maintain up to date and accurate log of work completed and outstanding items in the Facility Management System
- Follow up Service Agreements, relevant suppliers and service reports as well as manage the reports
- Report and handle deviations (Incidents, Problems, etc.) discovered on site, according to relevant processes, and find solutions based on root cause analysis
Job Practicalities
- The Critical Facilities Team is organized in a 24/7 operating shift hour schedule, covering all hours of the day, all year round
Education & Skills
- Vocational education degree within Electrical discipline or equivalent
- 2 years’ experience with electrical systems in a critical environment and/or at a data center. Alternatively, 5 years of experience with regular electrical systems
- In-depth knowledge of various maintenance fundamentals to deal with service and repairs
- Ability to perform a range of complexed work activities with some degree of personal responsibility and autonomy
- Strong at team work as well as individual work
- Manage to see the little details as well as the great picture/overview
- IT and computer skilled within operating in various software tools and systems
- Good communication skills, written and spoken
