We are looking for a Claims Executive/Senior Claims Executive to join one of our Cargo claims teams in Arendal

As a Claims Executive in our cargo teams, you will take a proactive approach to handle liability claims related to the carriage of cargo on behalf of our Members and clients worldwide. The claims teams handle a large volume of complex claims, and you will work closely with our insured shipowners and operators across segments such as tank, container, bulk, vehicle carriers, project and general cargo. Coordinating with surveyors, experts, and legal professionals who are involved in case handling your aim will be to achieve the best possible solution for our clients. A vital element of this role is to leverage the available data in collaboration with colleagues and clients to identify measures that can prevent future losses in global shipping.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

We are looking for a candidate with legal and/or a ship operational background. A law degree, or previous experience from the maritime industry including insurance is an advantage.

• Able to handle competing priorities in a structured way, with a high degree of proficiency in the use of computer-based tools and applications.
