An exciting opportunity has opened in our Trade Department. We are looking for our next shipping talent with the skillset of being solution-orientated and having a structural overview on tasks at hand, as well as working with a commercial understanding of the industry. YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
As part of our Trade department, you will become part of a team with dedicated and competent colleagues, who continuously ensure growth in volumes, market shares and customer satisfaction. In close collaboration with our Trade Management, you will be developing customer relations, seeking the best possible solutions for our clients and for the company.
We also expect you to work in close connection with our import and export customer service departments.
Your main responsibilities are to ensure excellent and effective handling of our commercial strategy. By utilizing your knowledge of the industry and in collaboration with the Trade Management Team you must ensure that our sales product is reliable through continuous improvement and development on all our products.
Your supporting tasks will be handling of quotations, filing procedures, daily contact with customers and overseas agents, including selling value adding services and contributing to trade development with MSC HQ.
As Trade Coordinator you are co-responsible for ensuring and contributing to a healthy team dynamic and furthermore, together with your team jointly responsible for handling freight requests and have a close collaboration with our Liners and Trade Managers as well as providing first class assistance.
- Build strong relationships with customers and develop new and existing customer portfolios.
- Handling freight requests and daily communication with customers.
- Have a close dialogue with MSC HQ in establishing new business opportunities.
- Have a close dialogue with relevant MSC Agents in establishing client specific procedures and solutions.
- Focus on developing personal competencies and relationships across functions and countries.
- Supporting Business Development activities across subsidiaries within your team.
- Proactively support optimization and innovative incentives to establish a more efficient work environment.
- Supporting the company’s commercial strategy and development of business change processes within the team.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience within shipping or freight forwarding, preferably in sea freight with focus on customer needs and expectations.
Furthermore, we expect you to bear the mindset and qualifications to demonstrate:
- A commercial understanding of the industry.
- Good people skills and strong communication skills both verbally and written.
- Passion for providing a high level of customer care.
- Good with numbers and understanding of salesmanship.
- Being solution-orientated and at keeping a structural overview of your work.
- Enjoys a high paced environment with many different tasks at hand.
- Clear understanding of teamwork and a willingness to contribute to the same.
- Strong implementation and execution skills in relation to project management.
- A positive drive towards optimization and implementation procedures.
- English skills as well as knowledge of Excel and Outlook is a must.
