Senior Rotating Machinery Engineer | Golar LNG

Are you a seasoned Rotating Machinery Engineer with operational experience in FLNGs or FPSOs? We are seeking a dynamic professional to oversee the performance and condition of critical rotating machinery across our FLNG fleet.

About the Role:

As a Senior Rotating Machinery Engineer, you will provide expert oversight for gas engines, gas turbines, steam turbines, compressors, pumps, and other rotating equipment. You will ensure their optimal performance, lifecycle cost-efficiency, and compliance with technical standards. This role may also include assignments as a Technical Authority, responsible for ensuring adherence to technical standards and best practices within designated areas.

Your main workplace will be our office in Oslo, Norway, but the role requires flexibility for travel to our operating assets and project sites as needed to perform audits, provide support, and oversee operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Excellence: Monitor daily operations to enhance efficiency and reliability of rotating machinery.
• Offshore Audits: Conduct regular offshore visits to review maintenance planning, execution, and compliance.
• Support Role: Guide Maintenance of Change (MOC) processes and assist asset teams in regulatory and technical matters.
• Training & Development: Assess competency needs onboard and recommend targeted training initiatives.
• Budget & Cost Control: Collaborate with asset teams for budget preparation, cost control, and spare parts strategy.
• Innovation & Feedback: Contribute insights and lessons learned to new FLNG projects and future technology evaluations.
• Emergency Response: May be a member of the Emergency Response and Incident Investigation teams when required.
• If assigned as a Technical Authority for a specific area, you will take ownership of maintaining and defining technical standards, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting the implementation of best practices across the fleet.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven opertation experience with FLNG's or FPSO's is essential
• Expertise in rotating machinery including turbines, compressors, and pumps.
• Strong knowledge of lifecycle planning, maintenance strategies, and compliance standards.
• Experience with statutory and class requirements in the oil and gas sector.
• Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with HSEQ management systems and processes.
