Norges Bank Investment Management is seeking a dedicated and results-oriented data engineer to join the Data Core team within the Technology and Operations area. As a Data Engineer you are responsible for developing and maintaining data models and pipelines used across all areas of NBIM. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive innovation through AI and ML while working with global financial datasets at an unprecedented scale.

What you will do

• Work with colleagues across investment, trading, compliance, and risk management functions to enhance data-driven investment decisions
• Design business- oriented data models that are usable for AI/ML
• Provide support and guidance for data users on data design and data solutions
• Focus on a modernized data platform with Snowflake and DBT at the core
• Work with a 100% cloud-based technology stack
• Proactively identify areas for improvement in processes and tools

What you need

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with strong academic records
• Experience with SQL, DBT and Python (or similar) to consume and work with data
• Experience with Snowflake and Terraform is a plus
• Cloud computing experience
• Strong understanding of data, database development and data modelling
• Experience in managing stakeholders, expectations and priorities
• 2-5 years of working experience
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with proficiency in written and spoken English
