Investment Associate/Senior Associate - Green Infrastructure or Agribusiness & Manufacturing, Oslo

Our Green Infrastructure team invests in circular economy, water and wastewater businesses. Our Agribusiness & Manufacturing team invests in manufacturing businesses and companies in the food and agriculture value chain.

Responsibilities and tasks

As a part of project-based investment teams of 2-5 people, you will work with the entire investment cycle, including:

• Assessing investment opportunities: business plans and pitches.
• Performing financial modelling and valuations.
• Conducting market research and deal sourcing e.g. industry, peer, and macro analysis.
• Assisting with or leading due diligence workstreams such as legal, financial, commercial etc.
• Drafting, reviewing, and assisting in negotiations of term sheets and transaction documents.
• Collaborating closely with investee management and external advisors.
• Writing investment proposals for Norfund’s investment committee and board.
• Assessing and improving financial, developmental, environmental, and social outcomes.
• Supporting or leading internal projects to enhance e.g. knowledge or processes.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering or other relevant studies with strong academic results. Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree and outstanding achievements (academic, professional or otherwise) will also be considered.
• 1–5 years of relevant experience, e.g. private equity, consulting, banking, or advisory.
• Strong financial understanding and analytical skills.
• Driven, high-performing, proactive, organized, and reliable, with a can-do attitude.
• Track record of managing projects and stakeholders effectively.
• Excellent communications skills in English.

The positions are based in Oslo on a Norwegian contract. Travelling is required.
