Telenor Norway is seeking a proactive and strategic Chief People & Culture Officer to drive our people agenda and support our ongoing transformation. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our company's culture, enhancing employee engagement, and implementing new ways of working.
The Chief People & Culture is responsible for developing and implementing programs, processes and policies related to our people strategy, supporting the overall strategic objectives of the company. As a driver for business transformation, you will champion agility and new ways of working, including leveraging HR technology and data to improve our people processes and employee experience. Furthermore, securing workforce planning and a strong employer brand will be crucial in ensuring that Telenor Norway has the skills and competencies to meet challenging market demands in the future.
As our Chief People & Culture Officer, you will report to the CEO and be part of her management team. You will lead an organization of 20+ dedicated professionals and 10 direct reports. Cooperating and working closely with our Nordic business units and Group functions, you will contribute to the further development of Telenor and our role in society.
Some of the main responsibilities:
Overall responsibility for Telenor Norway’s People functions and strategy, developing our people and the culture.
Drive business transformation through new ways of working, workforce planning, technology and organizational design.
Secure strong end-to-end employee lifecycle, including employer branding, talent and performance management, and learning and development.
Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, stay updated on trends and best practices within HR.
Develop HR policies such as compensation and benefits, health and safety, and diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.
Experience and qualifications
We are seeking a senior HR professional with a proven track record of leading and developing the strategic role of a People function in a complex matrix organization, preferably from a technology or customer driven company. You act as a trusted advisor to senior management level and have strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
You have excellent leadership skills with a sharp business acumen and a passion for change management, organizational development and people. We believe experience in all HR related areas, including talent management, employee engagement and culture, performance management, compliance, labor laws and employer relations, and technology are key to succeed in this role.
We expect excellent storytelling and communications skills, in Norwegian and English, and a solid educational background.
