About the role
As a CAD manager at VIKING, you will be a part of our Products & Manufacturing team located in Arendal, Norway.
You will be responsible for operational readiness, setting up, maintenance and update of VIKING’s CAD PDM platform. As a CAD Manager you will be working with a global perspective, across product groups and regions where there are VIKING CAD PDM users. Furthermore, being part of VIKING’s further development within the area of CAD PDM and in accordance with VIKING’s Business plan objectives.
The key tasks and responsibility:
- Following up, monitoring and supporting the CAD/PDM systems in VIKING group
- Ensure that VIKING CAD/PDM users utilize the right solutions and processes to perform efficiently and to the right quality
- Provide operational support to VIKING’s regional CAD/PDM Super Users across the world
- Stay current with Industry standards and keep Super User community up to speed and fit
- Develop and maintain procedures related to enforcement of CAD/PDM and graphics standards
- Perform training as required to help new hires and when needed for existing em-ployees
- Generate written technology evaluations for future software adoption
- Produce productivity enhancements and customizations
- Maintain CAD/PDM Software inventory
- Support managers on alignment of VIKING global CAD working processes
Job qualifications:
- Higher formal education within Engineering
- CAD Management Experience
- Experience from working with Autodesk Inventor and Vault
- Experience from working with PLM implementation will be considered favorably
