The position:
The Business Development Manager will be part of our Offshore & Subsea sales team and will report to the Sales Director.
With this position we want to grow our business and customer base in the rapidly expanding global offshore renewable energy market.
You will directly contribute to our further growth by delivering new relevant requests for quotation/tender requests to our sales team.
What You’ll Do
Your main responsibilities and task will be:
- Actively promoting Ovun within the Offshore Renewable segment through new and existing customers
- Building networks and leads through participation in exhibitions, seminars and conferences and direct customer visits.
- Gathering market intelligence about relevant market segments and competitors' activities, assessing potential market moves and opportunities
- Provide input into marketing channels, websites, social media, press releases, etc.
- Explore strategic M&A opportunities and partnerships to strengthen our position in the market.
What we are looking for
We are looking for a person with a technical or commercial background from the offshore industry, preferably the offshore renewables segment. The ability and interest to familiarize oneself with the technical aspects of our products, their application and potential for development is vital.
Who you are:
You are a person who
- Has experience in building relationships and actively working with customer prospecting.
- 5-10 years of experience in offshore industry, oil and gas or renewables is highly regarded.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to represent Ovun when meeting with clients or potential clients and communicate ideas effectively and professionally.
- Background or education in a related field of study is highly regarded

Who you’ll work with:
You will be an integrated part of our sales team and have a lot of contact with our technical team and our production team, to learn and understand our products and production processes.
Where you’ll Work:
- Opportunities to work from our offices in Åndalsnes, Moelv, Molde or Lysaker
- Possibility to work remotely
- Should expect to travel regularly (global reach, but mainly Norway and Europe)
- Flexible hours with periods of high activity to support short tender deadlines.

Ovun is a leader in rotational and polyurethane moulding. We produce a wide range of products for our most important market segments – Seismic, Oil and Gas, Renewables, Aquaculture, and Marine Navigation and Safety.
Ovun has around 60 employees and our annual turnover was more than NOK 200 mill. in 2024. We have our head office and a factory in Åndalsnes, a factory in Moelv, some production in Molde and a sales office in Lysaker. In 2025 we will open a new factory in Rudshøgda, and close down in Moelv.
Our customers in the Offshore and Subsea segment are within renewable energy, oil and gas, EPCI installers, rig companies, etc. Our products in this segment are buoyancy solutions and subsea cable protection. We have a wide range of standard products, and also offer customized solutions based on the customer's needs and requirements.
