Senior Automation Engineer – Asker

Jefferson Wells is looking for a skilled Senior Automation Engineer to join our client’s team on a large oil and gas FEED project. The project involves new platform design, brownfield modification work, and managing interfaces with several contractual parties. This is a great opportunity to work with Safety and Automation System (SAS) design, further developing your skills in automation engineering.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• System design, interface, and follow-up of the Safety and Automation System (SAS) at a FEED detail level.
• Ensure the implementation of the Global SAS system design through modification work, new system design, and contractual interfaces.
• Act as Technical Responsible (PRE) for the SAS package.
• Coordinate and follow up on SAS package technical deliveries, documentation, plans, and solutions.
• Review SAS technical package documentation.
• Perform and complete engineering documents and data registers.
• Interface with other disciplines, contractors, suppliers, and clients.
• Offshore surveys may be required.

Background and Qualifications

You have a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field. You bring at least 12 years of experience from automation engineering in greenfield projects and 8 years specifically in SAS system design, including SAS/automation package follow-up. You are confident in automation design and networks, with thorough knowledge of standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, and IEC.

You are an efficient communicator and express yourself fluently in English, both orally and in writing. You work well in a multicultural team environment and collaborate effectively with others. At the same time, you are capable of working independently, systematic, and accurate in your work. You are highly committed to meeting deadlines and delivering quality, while being proactive in seeking advice and sharing your own experiences.

Certificates Required:

• Valid FSE course certification.
• Valid Ex-course certification.
