We are looking for an Analytical Scientist to join our team!
The Analytical Chemistry department is responsible for the scientific development, evaluation, and validation of analytical methods, as well as the creation of related documentation packages for early-phase research projects and new product introductions (NPIs) within CMC Development.
The Analytical Scientist will play a key role in our team, primarily supporting routine High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) activities and other analytical methodologies across our expanding molecular imaging project pipeline, following standard operating procedures. Additionally, the Analytical Scientist will be responsible for contributing to laboratory housekeeping as part of their duties.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Conduct method setup and sample analyses for molecular imaging R&D programs, primarily using HPLC-UV.
- Support the development, verification, and validation of HPLC methods.
- Engage in hands-on laboratory work, with daily physical attendance required.
- Actively participate in team activities and collaborations.
- Plan, present, and discuss study results and development work.
- Author and review scientific reports that are fit for purpose.
- Update and maintain laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure regulatory compliance and best practices.
- Participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) change controls for acquiring new laboratory instruments.
- Follow and promote safety procedures to maintain a safe laboratory environment.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and organization of the laboratory workspace.
Required Qualifications:
- MSc in Analytical Chemistry, or a BSc in Analytical Chemistry with relevant work experience. Experience with chromatography methods is required.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to fit into a multicultural environment.
- Experience in working under GMP or in an accredited laboratory.
- Ability to work in a collaborative and flexible work environment within a team.
- English - fluent verbal and written.
Desired Characteristics/Skills:
- Hands-on experience in other analytical methods, such as Titration, Infrared (IR) Spectroscopy, and simpler strip-based methods.
- Having a research and customer focused mindset and approach to your daily tasks.
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of analytical chemistry method development and validation principles according to ICH and other applicable guidelines.
- Problem solving experience.
- Familiarity and working knowledge in applying QbD and DoE principles.
- Norwegian - fluent verbal and written.
