About The Role
We are now looking for Process Engineers to join our Energy Simulation team in Horten and Lysaker. The Energy Simulation team is providing dynamic process- and flow simulator services and solutions to the energy industry based on the advanced proprietary dynamic process and flow simulators; K-Spice® and LedaFlow®. You would be a part of a global team working to build full scale dynamic process simulators. Our simulators are also powering our Digital Twin offerings.
K-Spice® and LedaFlow® are world-leading dynamic simulators for the energy domain. These advanced simulators are helping clients worldwide to design new assets, improve operations and train their personnel efficiently and safely. A variety of services and solutions ranging from conceptual process studies for Front End Engineering Design (FEED) phase, engineering verification simulators, control system check-out simulators and operator training simulators, to real time production monitoring systems and flow assurance studies are provided. The tools have now also proven capabilities for CO2 capture, transport, and storage.
Responsibilities
- Build and run dynamic simulation models.
- Integrate dynamic models to control systems and prepare the simulator for engineering testing, virtual commissioning and operator training.
- Interact with customers and key stakeholders.
- Act as an advisor to our clients based on an overall understanding of their processing facilities.
- Improve our ways of working by questioning and challenging our simulator building processes, introducing new tools and improving our software products.
- Depending on qualifications and experience, become technically responsible for the complete simulator delivery.
Required Qualifications
- You are self-driven and eager to learn.
- You can approach and solve complex problems in a structured manner.
- You are service minded, collaborative and solution oriented.
- You enjoy working in a collaborative environment interfacing with several different teams and functions.
- You are fluent in both English and Norwegian (or Scandinavian) language.
- You can travel to client sites.
Beneficial Qualifications
- Automation, Chemical or Process Engineering degree (BSc/MSc) and/or relevant technical education/experience.
- Experience as a process operator.
- Interest or knowledge within the Net Zero.
- Interest or experience in Python programming.
