Digital Test Manager / Engineer

KONGSBERG is seeking talented individuals to help us drive digital innovation in the Maritime industry. We are in the search for a Test Manager/Engineer who will be a QA driver in shaping the Kongsberg Maritime Digital Office, delivering Applications and Platform software for the Digital business area across KONGSBERGs portfolio of world class products for the Maritime industry.

As the ideal candidate, you will be a driver for developing the test direction and find innovate ways of testing to make sure our highly complex systems are world class! You will be a part of a dynamic team working closely with the product owners, the delivery organization and development teams to bring our digital vision to life.

What you will be doing

• Explore, learn, and analyze the system to create innovative tests in collaboration with the test team.
• Develop and improve the test strategy - vision thinking.
• Automate testing by creating/improving the test systems and scripting tests.
• Execute tests, automated, manual and exploratory.
• Design, build and maintain test environments.
• Always strive for continuous improvements.
• Responsible for lab environments and Virtual Machine setups.
  
  

We think you should have

• Bachelor or master level in computer science, cybernetics, or similar.
• Experience and interest in software development and testing in particular.
• Ability and interest to work with large and complex systems.
• Experience with some of these fields; Python, Kubernetes, Linux, Docker, Grafana, Azure DevOps, Managing a team, Automation testing, ISTQB certification and cloud solutions.
• Experience with the Maritime business is an advantage.
• The soft skills wanted are Curiosity and Ability to learn
