Your Role
The VP of Compliance will be responsible for the development, optimizing and implementing of global compliance strategies and processes that align to international laws, regulations and ethical standards. The remit of the VP is global including operations in emerging markets.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the next step in our journey in a visible and highly strategic leadership position reporting directly into the COO.
There will be limited global travel in this role visiting global subsidiaries when necessary.
Your main responsibility will be nothing short of extraordinary
- Compliance Strategy & Processes - develop, optimise and implement compliance strategies and processes globally.
- Risk Assessment – conduct regular risk assessments to identify compliance vulnerabilities in different regions, focussing on data privacy, anti-corruption laws, export controls and financial regulations.
- Policy Development – create, review, and update compliance policies that are sensitive to operational difference in emerging markets.
- Regulatory Engagement – engage with regulatory bodies across various countries to stay ahead of legislative changes and ensure Kongsberg Digital’s practices remain compliant.
- Education & Training – play a critical role in the creation and delivery of compliance training and programs for employees globally ensuring understanding and adherence to compliance policies.
- Audit & Monitoring – manage and support compliance standards and implement monitoring systems where appropriate.
Qualifications
- Seasoned and experienced within compliance.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in a global compliance role.
- International experience in emerging markets is highly preferable.
- Degree in law. Additional certifications (e.g. CCEP) is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, influencing and presentation skills.
- Experience in software product company is highly advantageous.
