Arbeidsoppgaver
The Project Cost Controller will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial and cost aspects of one the companys project , ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to budgetary constraints.
This role involves developing and maintaining cost control systems, analysing cost performance, and providing financial oversight incl. Currency impact and cost reporting.
- Develop and implement robust cost control systems and processes for the Project, including budgeting, forecasting, Value of Work Done assessment and expenditure monitoring.
- Preparation of detailed Project budgets and assumptions for the Project.
- Ensure budgets are aligned with Project scopes, schedules, and resource requirements e.g. Manpower Projection Plan.
- Monitor and track of the Companys Project costs, providing regular reports on financial status, variances, and forecasts.
- Analyse cost data to identify and report trends and discrepancies.
- Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports and cost analyses to Senior Management and Project Stakeholders.
- Highlight key variances and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
- Review and manage contracts, purchase orders, and change orders to ensure financial compliance and alignment with project budgets and procedures.
- Identify potential financial risks and issues related to the Project. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate financial uncertainties
Main tasks
- Ensure Cost Management alignment with the Subsea, FPSO and D&W Cost Controllers
- Establish and maintain cost management processes in Pims
- Prepare , monthly project cost reports PIMS
- Prepare input to the yearly License Budget and Work Program
- Perform analyses and cost forecasts according to requirements.
- Review Project Contracts/POs created by Procurement before they are signed and issued to vendors. PIMS Doc.No.: PEN-A-JD-0009 Rev2 Project Cost Controller Companys Ltd NUF 02 of 04
- Verify (draft) invoices to make sure all charges are in accordance with Contract/PO terms and make sure that costs are allocated to the correct Project, WBS and cost codes.
- Monitor total expenditure/invoiced value against PO/Contract value and intentions
- Advise Management of any cost and accounting matters, and bring recommendations related to budget and financial control.
- Establish and Maintain Baseline Cost Estimates (Current Control Estimates #)
- Establish and Report Cash and Currency Plans
- Perform performance assessment and measurements (actual cost, progress and VOWD)
- Collect information/data, prepare estimates and conduct regular cost forecast review meetings
- Participate in risk assessments and audits
- Prepare Close-out and Experience report(s)
- Prioritize safety, health, environmental protection, and quality by actively following procedures, participating in training, reporting concerns, and contributing to improvements.
Ønskede kvalifikasjoner
- Minimum requirement should be bachelor's degree 3 year's
- Required Work experience 10 year's
- Strong knowledge of cost control principles, financial analyses, and budgeting practices specific to the Companys Project's operations.
- Proficiency in financial management software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Excel).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
- International experience and cultural awareness
