Join Jotun Norway as a Purchaser!

Jotun Norway is looking for an independent buyer, with commercial knowledge and technical understanding who can balance day-to-day activities with a strategic and tactical and operational approach to purchasing. 

As a buyer in Jotun, you will be responsible for following up and executing purchasing activities for Jotun, as well as managing and coordinating purchasing tasks in line with the Group's purchasing policy, principles, guidelines and procedures for indirect materials (IM). 

The right person will be responsible for spend analysis and work closely with relevant departments at our Headquarters at Gimle, as well as our production unit at Vindal.

You will also participate in sustainability discussions to support Scope 3 reporting on IM suppliers and Transparency Act reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and plan the requirements for designated IM spend areas based on close dialogue with relevant user departments at our headquarters and the factory.
• Source, select and approve suppliers for designated IM categories in close cooperation with relevant user departments and group functions (including supplier audits when relevant).
• Support and challenge user departments in ensuring that optimal IM specifications are in place.
• Ensure best agreements for designated IM spend areas, according to the purchasing objectives, by following the Tactical Purchasing Process and utilizing relevant contract formats.
• Implement and follow up local agreements when relevant for the company.
• Support local construction projects commercially and develop FIDIC competence.
• Report on agreed KPIs.

We are looking for a new colleague who is enterprising and independent. It is important to us that you enjoy looking for tasks yourself. You need to own and lead processes and support your manager. Be good at negotiations and communication, as framework agreements are part of the job. You will also be a resource for other departments at our headquarters and the factory, assist with documents, framework agreements, etc. You must have commercial interest, be structured and analytical.

You may have a bachelor's degree or higher in economics and administration, business, you may have a legal education, but other relevant education will be considered, in addition to experience and documented results.

Our working language is both Norwegian and English, so good written and oral skills are required.
