Position: Structural Engineer – Engineering Expert Services

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our team. The position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of advanced engineering services within a globally recognized company.

 

Role Overview:

The position is focused on providing expert engineering services empowered by FEA software and deep knowledge in the field of structural and mechanical engineering. The candidate will be working closely with the Development Team, Project Management Office and clients to generate optimal solutions that adhere to project specifications for active ongoing projects. It requires a thorough understanding of the business & project environment, culture and communication skills to be successful in the position. The candidate will also have influence on the evolution of our long-term development of engineering services, actively participating in the development and refinement of our proprietary software tools and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct structural verifications using a variety of analysis techniques, with a specialization in finite element analysis tool to determine the capabilities and capacity of our products.
• Collaborate on projects involving engineering topics such as statics, vibration, fatigue, material, and fire.
• Serve as a technical resource for customers and internal engineers, ensuring their structural verification needs are met with the highest standards of excellence.
• Communicate and report complex technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Scoping and planning of engineering analyses.
• Quality Assurance of engineering work.
 

Qualifications:

• MSc in Structural or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong communicative skills combined with a brave and optimistic mindset.
• Energetic and caring personality, with an interest in engineering topics.
• Proficient in finite element analysis tools.
• Experience with frame analysis software (RSTAB etc.)
• Experience with CAD software (Inventor, SolidWorks, etc.) is preferred.
• Familiar With Eurocode 3, DNV and Norsok standards related to structural engineering.
• 5 years of relevant experience with good merits are preferred.
• Experience with Vibration analyses, Material Science or Fire Design is a plus.
• Excellent report-writing skills with a focus on technical and analytical reports.
• Language requirements: fluency in English is required, proficiency in Norwegian is a plus but not mandatory.
