Zaptec is looking for a Group Controller!
The electric vehicle market is expanding rapidly, driving a growing need for smart charging solutions. Zaptec, a Norwegian world leader in this field, has made a significant mark both domestically and internationally with its innovative, in-house developed products. We are listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange under the ticker ZAP.
As Zaptec continues to grow and evolve, so does the complexity of our operations. Our finance team is embarking on an exciting journey to enhance our management model, processes, and reporting to match the organization's dynamic needs. To help us navigate this complexity, we seek a highly motivated Group Controller to play a key role in shaping the future of our finance function.
In this role, you will be an integral part of a small but dynamic finance team in Norway (currently five members) and report to the Finance Director. The team uses external accounting firms for bookkeeping but handles group accounts and stock exchange reporting internally. You’ll have the opportunity to take on significant responsibilities across a wide range of financial tasks and contribute to the continued success of a pioneering company in the EV space.
In this role, we believe some of your tasks will be:
- Group consolidation
- Tax calculations and transfer pricing assessments
- Annual accounts for group entities
- Evaluation of future solutions for consolidation
- Internal control monitoring and analysis.
- Cash flow analysis
- Cash transfers and FX analysis
- Other tasks within the finance team
We’re looking for a Group Controller with strong financial experience, a proactive mindset, and an eye for both detail and the bigger picture. You’ll thrive here if you’re result-driven, motivated by continuous improvement, and eager to prioritize and execute in a fast-growing company.
Some personal skills we value
- Self-driven and independent.
- Skilled relationship builder who can get the organization/other employees on board.
- An eye for detail and always strives to deliver high quality on time.
- Thrives in an active and informal environment.
- Ambitious and willing to give that little extra!
As for the skills required for this job
- Minimum 5-10 years experience in auditing, controlling, accounting, or a similar role.
- Strong system competence and skills in Excel.
- Experience with annual settlement programs, consolidation systems, and analysis tools like PowerBI.
- Experience with company reporting or audits under IFRS will be an advantage.
- Good oral and written skills, both in Norwegian and English.
