Orkla Health has an ambitious growth agenda, where growing our core business within health products and services, developing new concepts and geographical expansion by driving multi-market brands is central. Some of the best-known brands within Orkla Health are: Möller's, Jordan, Maxim, Nutrilett and Sana Sol. Our portfolio of brands is sold internationally through pharmacy, grocery, online channels, discounts and specialized trade.
The Global Category Development Manager for Omega will be responsible for developing and implementing the comprehensive category growth strategy and initiatives to enhance the growth and the profitability of the Omega category across markets.
This involves conducting market research, analyzing market and consumer trends, and identifying opportunities for growth as well as mapping and building a long-term innovation pipeline for the category.
The role reports to the Global Category Director Omega in Orkla Health and contributes to secure that long term growth targets are delivered according to strategy.
Main tasks
- Drive the global planning and development of the Omega category strategy. This includes category growth strategy, portfolio management, channel strategy, long term innovation mapping and strategy, and segmentation.
- Take lead in the development of the growth plans for the category in a 3-5 years' perspective, in alignment with the OH Management team, Category Director and local brand leads.
- Develop and apply consumer and market insights, and competitive developments in close collaboration with Market and Consumer Intelligence and local colleagues.
- Identify and develop a healthy portfolio mix for the category and its brands that answers both market and consumer needs whilst optimizing profitability.
- Proactively drive category knowledge and expertise into the global and local omega teams.
- Actively drive and contribute to a collaborative climate within multi-functional category teams and between central and local market teams.
- Stay abreast of industry and technological trends, consumer preferences, and best practices in brand management and innovation
- Contribute to the development of Medical Marketing strategies and initiatives for the Omega category, in close collaboration with the Medical Marketing Director.
Who are you?

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:
- Master's degree level within relevant areas
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
- Proven track record from growing a profitable category portfolio within FMCG or healthcare company
- Proven good business acumen and analytical skills
- Results- and solution driven, innovative and proactive
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to quickly build trustful relationships with stakeholder and business counterparts
- Structured and with good time management skills.
- Has high integrity and acts in Orkla Health's best interest
You will need to be fluent in English, both verbally and written. The position is based in our headquarters in Oslo so speaking one of the Scandinavian languages is an advantage.
Where will you be based?
Orkla's HQ at Skøyen, Oslo. We have a hybrid working environment. Travelling is required.
