Service Engineer for international work.

That is the reality for a Conoptica service engineer. We travel the globe providing service and maintenance for our customers in more than 45 countries.

The Conoptica Wire & Cable team delivers measurement systems that has become the industry standard worldwide.

Our dedicated team of service engineers has an important role in preserving and continuously building our position and brand as the gold standard for measurement systems in the industry. Our systems combine mechanics, electronics and optics to measure production tools and products down to 20µm with an accuracy of 0.4µm. 

We are seeking a person with the drive and mindset to strengthen our service team.

The person we are looking for

What is the job in Conoptica

• be an active member of the wire & cable service team,
• perform service and maintenance on-site in customers’ facilities worldwide,
• perform installation of sold systems and training sessions for new and old customers,
• acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to confidently demonstrate and explain our products to advanced users,
• participate in the production of new systems,
• lend a hand in marketing and sales when needed.

Home base is Conoptica's facility in Klæbu just outside Trondheim. Here you will be taking part in the assembly of new systems in the periods between your travels.

Wanted Qualifications

• A degree at bachelor level or above in engineering. Particular interest and experience in mechanical engineering is an advantage.
• Must be able and willing to travel worldwide for minimum 120 days per year.
• Language skills: Fluent in English and some proficiency in one more language that is not Norwegian. Must master Norwegian adequately also.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Work experience is an asset, but not a requirement.
• Not a requirement, but if you have your cultural heritage from outside Europe we will see it as an advantage.
