We are now seeking a dynamic and visionary Hotel director to lead and develop our prestigious high-end retreat located in Træna. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to shape and develop a world-class guest experience in one of Norway’s most exclusive and picturesque locations. The ideal candidate should be available to start by August/September 2025.

Position Overview
The role of Hotel director at YTRI Island Retreat goes beyond traditional hotel management. We are looking for an individual, or a couple, who not only has exceptional experience and skills but also embodies the right personality, lifestyle, and vision to develop our distinctive, quality-focused hotel concept.

Key Requirements:

Move to Træna: The selected candidate must be prepared to live on Træna Island. We provide a newly built house for the Hotel director and their family. It is essential that the candidate embraces the island lifestyle, which includes appreciating Træna’s adventurous spirit and breathtaking natural surroundings.

Experience & Expertise: Candidates should have a strong background in hotel management with a proven track record of delivering and maintaining high standards across all hotel operations, including food & beverage, guest services, and facilities management.

Personality & Lifestyle: We are looking for individuals who are not just professional but also personable and adaptable thriving in a remote and tranquil setting. A genuine interest in exploring and utilizing Træna’s unique natural environment is essential.

Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills are crucial for building and maintaining relationships with guests, staff, and the local community.
