Job Description:
Our widely experienced Global Logistics Director is retiring in some years, and to be able to fill the gap when that time comes, we are hiring. The role will be in training for some time before actually taking on the role, and will be given that opportunity if we find fit. In this role you will eventually have the overall responsibility for Odfjells logistics function (including personnel), as well as materials and inventory management, supply base operations, warehouses and SCM quality (suppliers and internal adherence to procedures).


Key Responsibilities:

• Overall responsibility for Logistics function and strategy to ensure delivery of quality products and services to operations in a timely manner and at lowest possible cost
• Global responsibility for supporting key internal stakeholders in logistics related issues across the business and contribute to operational success
• Responsibility for implementing GBS Logistics throughout organization
• Ensure department's adherence to all QA/QC procedures
• Ensure logistics strategies are aligned with corporate goals
• Direct the GBS SCM Logistics Department to ensure logistics strategies are in alignment with company goals and objectives
• Responsible for Materials Management, Supply Base operations, Warehouses and Hubs
• Inventory management and optimization of processes for the inventory management

Competencies, Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong educational background with minimum a Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's MSc/Bsc Degree in relevant discipline area
• 5+ years working in senior SCM management positions with personnel responsibility
• Proven relationship management skills and ability to build business partnerships
• Understanding of operating in international business environment
• Very good cooperation and communication skills and be able to work accurately and systematically
• Ability to identify processes needing improvement, and to recommend and drive improvements
• Strategic thinking, business acumen, change management, people/leadership, and influencing skills
• Good knowledge of IT tools, systems and digital tools within area of responsibility
• Good knowledge of English, both written and oral
