Welcoming you to the team 

As part of the Power Transmission Graduate Program you will join a dynamic and multicultural team driving the company's ability to plan and execute fabrication, project execution, and installation activities worldwide. In this permanent position, based in Oslo, you will gain hands-on experience from day one, working on real-life EPCI projects, with an estimated start in August 2025. The Legal & Contracts Affairs Department, with team members in Oslo, Paris, and New York, plays a vital role in project execution, collaborating closely with Project Managers to ensure timely, budget-conscious, and high-quality project delivery within contractual requirements. 

Getting a flying start. 

As a Legal Graduate, you will work closely with the project team to support the successful execution of our contracts. Your key responsibilities will include: 

• Drafting, reviewing, and managing change orders to ensure contractual compliance. 
• Overseeing contract modifications and leading negotiations with suppliers. 
• Negotiating contractual terms with Clients and Subcontractors. 
• Drafting contracts incorporating flow-down requirements and back-to-back terms. 
• Planning, coordinating, and following up on contract-related activities. 
• Communicating with Clients on contractual obligations and key legal matters. 

In this role, you will play a vital role in contract reviews, raising contractual awareness, and managing commercial and contractual aspects of projects. You will also handle variation orders, disputes, and claims, ensuring compliance with contract obligations. Strong business judgment will be essential, enabling you to balance contractual and business priorities, break down complex legal issues, and effectively articulate risks to key stakeholders. 

Your starting point when you join

• Master's degree in law (corporate law, business law or similar). 
• You are graduating from your master’s degree in the spring of 2025.
• Commercial mindset. 
• Fluency in English, written and oral. Norwegian is a plus.  
• Some experience of working in corporate environments is beneficial but not required. This can for example be from summer internships. 
• You strongly align and identify with Nexans' values: Dedicated, Pioneer and United. 

How you make an impact – The Graduate Program 

This Graduate Program will allow you to learn and contribute to the Nexans Way -such as engineering methodology and technical standards as well as quality culture and our safety mindset. From day one you will take direct part in one of our projects, enabling you to make your footprint on the electricity transformation. You will get the platform to participate in in-house training lectures, as well as cross-functional networking with your fellow graduates. Over time you will build a strong understanding of Nexans business model, products, and services. The start date is estimated August 2025.
