Nord Modular Synthesizer Rack with Expansion card

Nord Modular Synthesizer with Expansion card, which doubles the polyphony of the stock model and gives eight times more voices than the Micromodular. I got this from a studio owner in Germany who had bought it new. To my knowledge, it has never been used live. It includes the original rack mounts, but also works fine with its rubber feet as a desktop unit.

This is one of the most amazing virtual modular synths ever made, it being theoretically possible to reproduce the sound any synthesizer ever made including sequencing. There are also 295,000 (!) patches available to download for 5 bucks from Monotanz (link below).

The rack mount version is, in my opinion, more practical than the keyboard version for the fact that the keyboard has so few keys and no pitch bend at all. I much prefer playing -- and especially testing out new sounds -- with a minimum 60-key midi keyboard with pitch bend.

There are two modernized versions of the software from Byte Order and Stage Engine which work on Mac computers; another option is to use an old Mac laptop with OS 8/9 or X, or an old windows machine. The software was, in my experience, very stable.

I have owned a Micro Modular since they first came out a million or so years ago, and found that with all the vintage keys I use that I really don't need THIS much synthesizer, so hoping to find it a more appreciative home.

This Nord Modular Expanded works perfectly and has barely any marks that could distinguish it from new. It is loaded with the stock factory sound patches. You can buy it now with Fiks Ferdig or it's available for pick-up in Halden. If shipped it will be professionally packaged in double boxes with foam padding for extra shipping protection.
