Senior R&D Engineer - Sea Based Innovation

Our innovation department is strengting the team with a senior engineer to design, develop, and optimize innovative hardware solutions for aquaculture systems.
This position will have a key role in ensuring that products meet industry-leading quality, cost-efficiency, and sustainability goals, contributing to operational excellence and long-term market leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Product ownership and leading the design and maintenance of feed-related infrastructure (winches, cameras, feed systems, sensors, etc.) to deliver measurable improvements in feed efficiency, aquaculture operations, durability, and cost
• Drive projects in accordanse with our Project Execution Model to maximize development speed and minimize waste, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery
• Work with diverse teams (e.g., software, manufacturing, supply chain, and operations) and external partners to align solutions with market demands and technical requirements
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality outcomes
• Embed ESG principles into all engineering decisions, contributing to reduced environmental impact and regulatory compliance
• Stay at the forefront of industry trends and emerging technologies, integrating innovative solutions into product designs
• Use metrics to track performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions to achieve higher throughput and efficiency

Required Competencies

• Master’s degree in engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, or a related field
• 5+ years in R&D or engineering, preferably in aquaculture or related sector
• Proven success in delivering products with measurable improvements in performance and cost using lean/agile methodologies
