Electrical Engineer High Voltage
Jefferson Wells is looking for an experienced Electrical System High Voltage Engineer for our client in Asker. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a large EPC offshore topside and electrification project, contributing to greenfield and integration efforts. The role involves working with high-voltage electrical systems, including land cables, subsea cables, HV-equipment in onshore and offshore substations, as well as power connections to offshore platforms and grid connections.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Design and specify electrical system solutions and strategies in study, FEED, and detail phases.
- Develop and manage the Main Power Supply Package Specification, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
- Oversee the Electrical System Infrastructure (ESI) package from development to execution, including engineering, fabrication, logistics, installation, contract management, and handover to operations.
- Assist in the design and development of electrical philosophies, topologies, single-line diagrams, load lists, system descriptions, PMS/PDCS systems, and other electrical solutions.
- Conduct and follow up on electrical system calculations, analyses, and assessments.
- Collaborate closely with project teams and various disciplines to ensure project success.
Background and Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. The ideal candidate has completed FSE and Ex courses and has at least 10 years of experience in electrical engineering from Norwegian continental shelf projects. A solid understanding of electrical system analysis and transmission systems is required, as well as experience from offshore electrification projects. Candidates should have a proven track record in conceptual and detailed engineering for large-scale projects and possess deep knowledge of electrical design according to NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, ISO, DNV, and IEC standards. Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are essential. The role requires a team-oriented and cooperative mindset, with the ability to work efficiently in a multicultural environment. We are looking for someone who is systematic, proactive, and detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to deadlines and quality requirements.
