What does the job involve?
Responsible for developing and implementing technical-,engineering- and operational solutions, optimizing and monitoring the quality, safety, and efficiency, of materials solutions used in energy production, processing, refining, and transport systems, including CO2- and low carbon (including but not limited to polymer materials, surface protection, metallic materials, welding, corrosion, material selection, inspection technology). Governance shall be based on technical and professional standards and relevant industry best practices, supported by state-of-the-art systems, processes, methods and tools to support decision making processes.
You are utilizing your knowledge to independently solve complex tasks with a short-term operational or tactical impact/risk. You deliver on tasks defined by others (and potentially partly defined by you) with significant impacts on team objectives. You independently communicate within the immediate team, across different areas, and towards key stakeholders, including partners or external parties. You may navigate potentially conflicting agendas. You adhere to established procedures and identify as well as resolve challenges. You proactively seek continuous improvement, embrace change and ambiguity, You demonstrate flexibility to adopt new activities and ways of working, and take ownership of your own work. What will my tasks be?
Within this position, your key tasks will be to:
- Co-responsible for establishing and maintaining preventive maintenance programs for inspection, including corrosion under insulation (CUI).
- Responsible for maintaining and improving the professional content of maintenance programs.
- Quality assurance of inspection reports after inspection has been carried out.
- Update RBI with new history and assess the need for editing data due to changed assumptions for pipes and equipment.
- Notify if equipment is operated outside the integrity operating window (IOW).
- Technical support for shutdowns and input on scope of work.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical or materials engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience with inspection of pipes and static process equipment.
- Certification according to NS415 is an advantage.
- Good communication skills with fluency in English and a Scandinavian language (preferably Norwegian).
- Willingness to adhere to our values and safety regulations.
- Team player with the ability to collaborate in a cross-functional environment.
- Analytical mindset with a strong understanding of risk management.
