Quality Manager in the renewable energy industry - Scatec

Main purpose of position
Currently we are looking for a Quality Manager in Oslo, Norway to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. As our Quality Manager you will
be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the highest standards of quality across all procurement and construction activities. This role involves providing expert quality advisory services, implementing robust quality assurance processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Main responsibilities
Quality Advisory Projects
- Lead and manage quality advisory projects to enhance overall quality standards.
- Prepare and present comprehensive quality reports to stakeholders.
- Conduct weekly quality meetings with the site team to review progress and address issues.
- Develop and deliver training programs on quality-related procedures and systems
- Establish and maintain project quality plans and site quality systems
- Review and maintain quality documentation and follow up on TTO (handover) documents
- Appoint and oversee site quality managers to ensure site-specific quality compliance
Quality Assurance
- Ensure adherence to quality standards in procurement and construction.
- Conduct regular quality audits and inspections to maintain compliance.
Supplier and Contractor follow up:
- Assess the capability and performance of suppliers and contractors.
- Facilitate kick-off meetings with contractors and suppliers to align on quality expectations.
Quality Improvement:
- Implement corrective actions and preventive measures.
- Follow up on non-conformance reports (NCRs) and observations to ensure resolution.
Qualifications and competencies
- University Degree or equivalent in economic-technical engineering and/or business/economics
- Fluent in English, spoken and written
- At least 3 years’ experience in Quality management.
- Quality management professional with experience in process management, inspection, site construction and installation
- Verifiable record in quality management on projects in ‘medium’ to ‘high focus’ environments
- Experience in the development and implementation of project QA/QC plans
- Competent to lead specialist peer-assist and review teams
- Good knowledge in ISO 9001:2008
